The City of Phoenix is seeking a dedicated and experienced Workforce Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Workforce Development Specialist, you will work closely with clients, assessing their needs, developing personalized action plans, and connecting them to training, education, and job placement services. • Assess client needs and develop individualized career development plans.
• Provide guidance and support to clients throughout their job search process.
• Connect clients with relevant training programs, educational opportunities, and employment services.
• Monitor client progress and provide ongoing coaching and encouragement.
• Collaborate with employers and community organizations to identify job openings and resources.
• Maintain accurate client records and program documentation.
• Facilitate workshops and information sessions on career development topics.
• Stay current on labor market trends and workforce development best practices.
• Assist clients in overcoming barriers to employment.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Advocate for clients within the workforce development system.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in workforce development, career counseling, or a related field.
• Proven experience in case management and client support.
• Strong understanding of local labor market dynamics and employment resources.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus.
